"Let's Dance!" ...and Quest... 06/12/2008
Short and sweet today, and that's because of my time crunch rather than a lack of great things to blog about. The dance was a blast. We held it in one-third of the indoor gym portion of Camp Center. At first, we weren't super-enthusiastic, citing the tradition of using the Dining Hall, but with tornadoes to the south and thunderstorms to the west, we figured having the dance in the severe weather shelter wouldn't be such a bad idea. And it wasn't! It was a truly great dance and everyone liked that space better than the dining hall. So much for tradition. CommentsChris S. Kent was back at the funeral, and he was saying that it's been a great camp week so far. I'm so glad for all the kids and all the great people who put this camp together every year. There is a great deal of work that goes unheralded but much appreciated! Thank you all. Kent Fri, 13 Jun 2008 05:59:57 Nate, this blog is a great idea. If I can't be there it is great to read about it through your eyes. You are writing in a way that brings us in from a distance. It is great! I prayed for your day of Quest and I put a bulletin together for Sunday. Don't forget to invite everyone to sing at Excelsior on Sunday. I miss you all and sing your praises.
